From Shopify Store to Native App in 30 Days
Built a full Expo (React Native) iOS and Android app for a luxury fragrance and commercial diffuser brand. Shop, subscriptions, concierge bookings, and service requests all native, pulling live inventory from Firebase and mirroring the olfatic.com brand identity.
The Challenge
Luxury fragrance brands live and die on sensory experience. Olfatic's Shopify store could not deliver the premium mobile experience the brand deserved, and a generic app builder would not match the brand's identity or support their concierge model.
Our Approach
- Built Expo React Native app with custom white-O brand identity, dark luxury aesthetic, and smooth tab navigation.
- Wired Firebase production backend for real-time inventory, orders, and concierge booking requests.
- Built subscription system supporting monthly oils-only and full-access tiers, gated by product type.
- Integrated commercial diffuser service request flow so hospitality clients (hotels, offices) can schedule refills from the app.
The Outcome
Olfatic has a native app on iOS and Android that matches the premium feel of the brand. The commercial diffuser module opened a B2B revenue channel the Shopify store could not support.
